“Learning to Fly Again RCM Theme Song” by Bill Steadman

Rev. Bill Steadman has once again written and shared a theme song for our CSRC Meeting.  He is allowing communities of faith to use the hymn for up to one year and as long as he is cited as the writer (please use the copyright credits as listed).  You will find a PDF of the PowerPoint used during our 2021 Regional Council Meeting, a PDF of just the words to the hymn and an audio recording.

NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2021 RCM ARE NOW CLOSED BUT…

Are You Looking to Serve?

We are looking for people who reflect the diversity of Canadian Shield Regional Council, including but not limited to, cultural and ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, geography and age. We want to have good representation from racialized communities or other groups that traditionally have been marginalized in church decision-making. We seek people who can offer fresh perspectives and insights; those who bring knowledge and experience from being active in local communities. We need people who can see the big picture, people who are interested in innovative ministry, people who can help develop policies and people with a keen eye for details.  WE NEED YOU!

If you are interested in becoming involved in the church at a regional level but aren’t sure what is the right role for you, members of the Nominations Committee would be happy to have a conversation with you about your gifts and interests and help you to find the place that would be the best fit for you.

Click on the button below to look at the vacancies available in our region and nominate yourself or someone you know!

Town Hall Meetings

A key piece of this year’s process will be a Town Hall meeting where Regional Council members will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss proposals in depth, to ask questions about the Budget, to meet Chair Elect Nominees, and to have a chance to visit in breakout rooms.

A Town Hall meeting happened on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
