National Indigenous Day
National Indigenous Day is celebrated in Canada every June 21st as an official day of celebration to recognize and honour the heritage, cultures, and valuable contributions to society by First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
There are two new worship resources have just been posted for use in marking National Indigenous Day of prayer. In keeping with recent practice, both an Indigenous and non-Indigenous writer were asked to provide contributions. This year’s resources were prepared by Deb Anderson-Pratt and Carolyn Wilson-Wynne.
They are available at:
French translations of these materials also are being prepared and should be ready for posting in the near future.
