Retirement of Rev. James Clarke – Sudbury

Reverend James Clarke has served the congregation at Copper Cliff United Church for the past 21 years.
Unfortunately for us, James has decided it is his time to retire. James and Heather are relocating to the Cambridge area where Heather has been working for the last year
or so. Considering the times we are in, it is impossible to organize an event suitable to the occasion. So we have planned and confirmed a drive by type of event.
We invite you to join us.
Date: Saturday, 29th May 2021
TIme: 2:00 – 3:30 pm
Location: Copper Cliff United Church
26 Park Street, Copper Cliff
The event will deviate some from what we consider normal practice for a drive by, we will not be congregating at a meeting point and doing a drive-by.
But rather: Folks are asked to come by the Church between 2 pm and 3:30 pm. With staggered attendance, this will give folks a chance to stop and share a few words
with James. Thus avoiding any grouping of people, congestion of traffic and horn honking. We ask that, when attending, folks approach the church from Godfrey drive so that they
can stop just in front of the church to share their time with James. If there is a lineup of traffic on Park Street, please be patient – drive around the block to wait a few minutes, giving others their opportunity.
And, yes we do expect there will be some pedestrian traffic.
