Reconciliation Timeline
Many years back Cecile Fausak started a “reconciliation timeline” for the United Church. It also includes many milestones in the Indigenous church’s evolution. Sara Stratton (Reconciliation and Justice Animator – UCC) has been updating it this summer. Click on the button below to view the timeline:

Traditional Territories Dialogue
The Traditional Territories Dialogue is designed for use in your congregations. It has essentially been written to explain WHY we recognize Traditional Territory, whether it is at the beginning of worship, meeting or another gathering. For example, it could be used as the sermon on a Sunday morning.
You will need to research whose traditional territory on whom you are meeting and insert that into the dialogue. Two resources to assist you with this is to go to: http://native-land.ca/ and/or https://www.ontario.ca/page/treaties See if you can find out some background information on the Treaty or Treaties that pertain to your locale, to add greater interest to the dialogue in your context. Click on the button below to view the dialogue:
Traditional Territories DialogueOur many thanks to Rev. Teresa Jones for creating and sharing the Traditional Territories Dialogue.
