Hey Canadian Shield Youth and friends!

Come and join on a weekend of fun, worship and learning with youth and leaders from across Ontario.

The Niagara Youth Festival 2019 is again being held in… you guessed it… Niagara Falls, Ontario.  2019 marks the VERY LAST Niagara Youth Festival – WE MEAN IT THIS TIME!! At the Niagara Youth Festival, we have the opportunity to engage in great worship and workshops, leadership development, Coffee House, food and snacks (who doesn’t LOVE food and snacks).  Here is your chance to explore Niagara Falls too!

Workshop choices this year are full of activities to explore, great discussions and lots of fun things to learn. This year’s guest speakers are REV. KIM KENDRICK AND MODERATOR RICHARD BOTT

Rev. Kim Kendrick enjoys sharing her gifts as Chaplain of Bethany Children’s Home in Womelsdoerf, Pennsylvania. “Pastor Kim” prides herself on offering unique opportunities for youth to engage in a deep dive at the intersection of faith and the world. F.U.E.L (Faith Used in Everyday Life) is one of the signature programs that help youth examine and set their faith into action daily.

Moderator Bott is passionate about the possibilities that we have in front of us as a church, and encourages all of us to ask and attend to both the pain and the joy that is being expressed, and then to take action on what we’re told. Entering the role of Moderator at a time when significant changes to church structures are underway, he believes that the purpose of those structures is to help the wide diversity of communities of faith across the church live into their ministries.

And let’s not forget about Worship at the Niagara Youth Festival! Worship will be lit as we are being led again by Pat Morrison. Worship is engaging and gets us standing on the pews! We worship together Friday evening, Saturday morning and join with the Silver Spire congregation on Sunday morning.

The cost for this event is only $100, and includes transportation, two breakfasts and two lunch meals as well as accommodation at Pelham Community Church. If you have questions or concerns about the cost, please contact Melody – regional financial assistance is available on request.

And like last year, we will have an opportunity to either explore Niagara Falls, or join with our hosts Pelham Community Church Youth at an activity. This year, we are also planning an optional activity at an indoor waterpark (additional cost of about $40), so if you’re interested, stay tuned!
