Justice Connexions
From Collective Understanding to Collaborative Action
A two-part series, for individuals and communities of faith, passionate
about community engagement, outreach and social justice.
Together, let’s learn, reflect, and network…
What?
This two-part workshop invites participants to explore the Justice Wheel as a faith-centered tool for living out our Christian faith in both personal and communal life. Grounded in the interconnected practices of charity, service, advocacy, solidarity and justice, the workshop creates space for individual and collective reflection on how we proclaim what we believe—our faith—through action.
Part One introduces the ‘Justice Wheel’ and invites participants to examine where their current personal actions and ministries are situated within the five practices. Participants will then return to their own Communities of Faith to reflect on existing outreach, justice, and community engagement programs and how these are expressed in their context.
Part Two focuses on discernment and growth, supporting individuals and Communities of Faith in moving toward a more balanced and intentional approach to community engagement, outreach, and justice. Participants will also have the opportunity to build connections with other Communities of Faith engaged in similar justice and outreach efforts.
Who? Interested individuals and Community of Faith representatives involved in outreach, justice and community engagement around any issue like food security, housing, peace, environment, anti-racism, diversity and inclusion (2SLGBTQIA+).
