Congregational Stewardship

In the ancient world, stewards were people who managed a household on behalf of its owner. Today when we as Christians call ourselves stewards, we make the bold claim that God is the true owner of the household of all that exists: creation, money, time, talent…everything! The world isn’t ours; it’s God’s. And amazingly, God entrusts it to us. Good stewardship means doing our utmost to care faithfully for God’s abundant goodness. Stewardship Best Practices
The course is made up of four 2-hour sessions. Each will examine Stewardship Best Practices in order for you to set goals, create an annual stewardship plan, and successfully get you and your community of faith energized about your stewardship journey. We are offering 7 different days and times, but cohorts will fill up, so check out this information and register today.

Getting Started in Stewardship
Join United Church people from across the country to learn some stewardship first principles. The next session is Tuesday, May 2, 1-2:30 pm. Registration is open, share this opportunity with others!

The Congregational Giving Program
Starts mid-May. If you are planning a stewardship focus during the Season of Creation, Thanksgiving or Advent, this is an excellent opportunity to learn how best to utilize the Called to be the Church materials and develop a plan that will work in your congregation. Plus, you will get coaching following the sessions as you put your plan into action. Gather your team and register today.
