DESCRIPTION:In anticipation of the newly established federal day of reflection – The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – the Right Relations Team and Canadian Shield Regional Council would like to encourage each community of faith to commemorate this day in a meaningful way.  Here are some suggestions of a few events in some areas around our Region.  There are many more events happening in our region that are not listed here.  We hope that this list will serve as a catalyst for you to honour this day. \nNATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION EVENTS\nOnline or Televised Events\nUnited in Learning “Indigenous Children Then\, Now\, and Tomorrow” on September 29\, 5:30‒7:00 p.m. Eastern. Panellists will touch on topics including Indigenous children in residential schools\, the Sixties Scoop\, the Millennial Scoop\, and bringing our children home.
