Our focus will be on developing a general roadmap to services for organizations and individuals who work to assist military veterans and first responders in our community. We believe that this is an important step in improving our understanding of the local landscape of organizations, professionals, and stakeholders and that this will provide outstanding value for your organization in your work with military veterans, first responders, and their loved ones. The total duration is expected to be between 90 and 120 minutes.
Here is the agenda: Introduction, Participant introductions, Briefing on service mapping process and survey, Breakout discussions (dependent on attendance numbers), Plenary exchange, Conclusion, closing remarks, thanks.
The Respect Forum is a biannual invitation-only gathering of the people working to address mental health issues, homelessness, and related issues resulting from Operational Stress, PTSD, and their consequences among our military veterans and first responders (police, fire & rescue workers, paramedics & ambulance technicians). We have been working in partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada, Veterans Transition Network, and several other organizations since 2016 to organize these biannual meetings across the country. We are now in twenty-three cities and surrounding regions, including ours. The aim of these gatherings is to offer a no-charge networking opportunity for those who are joined in the common cause to help people, amongst whom are our veterans and first responders, who are suffering from operational and post-traumatic stress injuries and/or homelessness. Our invitees could very well have no other occasion to get to know their colleagues and comrades from other organizations who are also engaged in the same fight to end the suffering of those who have given up much to keep us safe.
Please RSVP to let us know if you will be coming to anyone of the Respect Forums.
